THE ANSWER, A POEM OF THE CREATOR

* * *

The Answer,
A Poem Of The Creator

Weeds in the cracks
Of the stony path
Sway and wave
To the moss
That hangs from the branches.
The wind moves through
The trees
Who murmur with
With voices of leaves
That sigh
And speak softly-
Or do they sing?
The Very Stones Would Cry Out
Are boughs lifted up
As
The believer who lifts hands
To worship?
Are their syllabic sounds the
Song of the living earth?
It makes sense to me,
That God's creation
Must have many voices
And become a chorus;
After all Jesus said
"If they were quiet
The very stones
Would cry out."

"…Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Him, "Teacher, rebuke Your disciples." But Jesus answered, "I tell you, if these become silent, the stones will cry out!" Luke 19:40.
