SHE DREAMS, A POEM ABOUT HOPE'S CERTAINTY

She Dreams,
A Poem About Hope's Certainty

She would weave a basket
To hold her dreams secure
For her tomorrows.
She would make it with
The birds that came home
With the last snow
And found green trees.
A broken musician who escaped
In the stars
Lying beneath the leaves.
The blue haze below the hills
Where we once sat.
Ships sailing on sunset seas
Homeward bound
Forever away.
And gold from valleys
Of sunshine.
Some would say
"You can't do that."
She would laugh
And say,
"You don't get it, do you?"
